Day 1: Ho Chi Minh city –My Tho city – Ben Tre province – Can Tho city (Meals: lunch, dinner)
Commencing at 7:30 AM from Ho Chi Minh City, the voyage unfolds as you journey towards My Tho town, a scenic drive of about an hour and a half. En route, you’ll be treated to picturesque vistas – lush green rice fields, the serene Vam Co Dong river, and the bustling Long An town. A pause at the Mekong rest stop offers a chance to rejuvenate and appreciate a bonsai garden.
Upon arrival in My Tho, a visit to the historic Vinh Trang Pagoda awaits. This ancient pagoda, the oldest in Southern Vietnam, showcases a unique blend of Vietnamese, Khmer, and European architectural styles, a testament to the region’s cultural richness.

Following breakfast at the hotel, at 7:00 AM, embark on a leisurely stroll to Ninh Kieu wharf. This morning journey unveils the charm of the streets market, where an array of homemade products like fruits, vegetables, and cakes are on display along the route to the wharf.
Setting sail on the river, the next adventure leads to the bustling Cai Rang floating market, a prominent fixture and one of the largest in Southern Vietnam. The unique dynamics of commerce in this floating market area will undoubtedly captivate visitors, leaving a lasting impression.
Once the floating market exploration concludes, a visit to observe the process of crafting rice vermicelli noodles and an orchard garden tour awaits. Wandering through the village, you’ll even have the opportunity to test your skills by crossing the bamboo bridge, a single bamboo tree’s feat of engineering.
The cruise then meanders back to Ninh Kieu wharf, where a halt is made for a satisfying lunch. Subsequently, the journey continues as you catch a bus to Chau Doc(14.00 – 17.00). Your night is reserved in Chau Doc, and you’ll be accommodated in a homestay, fostering an immersive local experience.
