The renowned American travel magazine Travel+Leisure (T+L) has recently included Phu Quoc Island from Vietnam in its list of the world’s best travel destinations for 2025.
This year’s list was evaluated by T+L’s experts and readers based on criteria such as pristine natural landscapes, uniqueness, and potential for tourism development. Alongside famous destinations like Phuket (Thailand), Hawaii (USA), Great Barrier Reef (Australia), Reykjavik (Iceland), and Machu Picchu (Peru), Phu Quoc is the only representative from Vietnam featured in T+L’s list this year.
Explaining why Phu Quoc was chosen, T+L writer Esha Dasgupta described the island’s captivating beauty that “melts the hearts of every traveler.”
“The night markets, clear waters, abundant opportunities for diving, fresh seafood, lush tropical forests, and diverse wildlife ecosystems are what make the island’s beauty,” T+L emphasized in an article published on November 12th.
Earlier, in September, T+L also praised Phu Quoc as an “emerging star” among beautiful islands worldwide, calling it “Southeast Asia’s hidden gem.”
